Wick Allison

Wick Allison, birth name Lodowick Brodie Cobb Allison (born March 17, 1948), an American magazine publisher and author.

Allison and his wife had a child with developmental difficulties, which was discussed in a profile of Allison which was published by the New York Times.

Allison co-founded D Magazine, the city magazine of Dallas-Fort Worth, in 1974.

He went on to found and publish Art & Antiques Magazine in 1984.

In 1990, Allison was was hired by William F. Buckley, Jr. to be the publisher of the National Review, since the two shared a conservative political focus.

In 1991 or 1992 Allison sold his company Allison Publications, publisher of Art & Antiques.
