The Wichita Wild is a professional indoor football team. They began play in 2007 as an independent organization playing all games at home against semi-pro opponents from the mid-west. For 2008, they have officially aligned with the UIF. A press conference occurred July 10. [1]
They play their home games at the Britt Brown Arena at the Kansas Coliseum, which is also the home of the CHL's Wichita Thunder.
The market was previously home to the Wichita Warlords of the Indoor Football League (played in 2000), and the Wichita Stealth of the af2 (which played from 2001-2004). The Wichita Aviators of the APFL played in the market for 2005-2006 seasons.
