The Wichita State Shockers basketball team is the NCAA Division I men's basketball program of Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. They currently compete in the Missouri Valley Conference. The team last played in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament in 2006, when they upset second-seeded Tennessee to reach the Sweet Sixteen; ironically enough, the Shockers were upset in the Sweet Sixteen by the George Mason Patriots. The Wichita State Shockers men's basketball team plays their home games at Charles Koch Arena (10,512). The Shockers are currently coached by Gregg Marshall, who replaced current Texas A&M coach Mark Turgeon.
