User talk:Wickedpedia is a fascist project

Why are you so [ == mad ==]?

Try to understand, that i do want you as a fan.

....

Thank you for asking.

Asking why is more than most people here can bring themselves to do, because most are entranced by a false wisdom, a sort of childhood fear, that tells them they should not talk to scary strangers. The Internet idiom that perpetuates this suppression of speach that could otherwise lead to conflict resolution is the phrase "Don't feed the trolls." The assumption is that anyone who would dare express anger toward this project deserves, as has been stated in some cases, to be "strung from the mast." This hardly promotes understanding.

My anger is probably a result of different approaches to writing. The differing approaches can be seen even in your simple expression "I do want you as a fan."

Many, if not most people contribute here to earn the praise of others, or to gain some sense of recognition, acceptance or belonging. My background as a professional writer has taught me to write for entirely different reasons. I learned to write to make a difference, and to select subjects that will have an impact with readers. For me, praise, acceptance or belonging have nothing to offer. That is why the administrative style here that attempts to ostracize angry contributors is absolutely inneffective on me and on some of the other more insightful and mature donors who have responded to this site's recruitment efforts.

And as a professional writer, I am offended that overgrown adolescents have made a game of guessing at the truth, then voting on the correct version of the truth in a mockery of democracy that, if applied to other community settings, would comprise little more than mob rule. Some of us take language quite more seriously than that. And some of us take this project far less seriously than those who count their success in numbers of hits. I count success in coherence -- specifically coherence of language with reality.

So you have me as you want me - as a fan. I can jeer bad plays and I can throw wrenches in the works when the team plays poorly. I could also contributed much accurate and useful content, but that is not what you asked for in this reply. And nobody has asked the various user names I contributed under to continue contributing valuable content. The process seems to attract adrenaline junkies who enjoy watching as the more concerned contributers burn out, and those users seem to get a thrill of confirming their childish notion that if a person acts against their immediate interest, they are a bad person with nothing to offer.

What I know about majik is that healing majik can involve helping people get what they want, often so they will realize that is not what they really wanted. I am just giving people what they seem to want from me. I could as well - and have - contribute strategies for resolving conflict, for redeeming burned-out donors, and for building respect instead of conflict, but my most recent contributions of that type were met with escalated aggression. An administrator committed an act that was ostensibly beyond the power of any individual administrator. I have no reason to battle specifically over that incident. I now have a factual record of the worst administrative behavior and have no reason to taint that record with an attempt to help the administrative cadre redeem themselves in that matter. If that is the way they want to leave it, fine, we are making history and if that is the way they want it made, who am I to improve their poor record?

Does this answer your question? I would be glad to respond further, I have plenty of time, I have vast experience with resolving conflict and I am very creative, but as I said, that doesn't seem to be what people here want.
