I've removed the autoblock, since I believe this is probably not the same account. Happy editing!

- If you want to use a different username, my suggestion is to just create a new account with the username you want to keep, and use the "move" link on User:FallenBoy897 to move your userpage over there. This won't preserve your contribution history, but since it's so short, it wouldn't really matter. As for the school IP being a problem... yeah, a lot of school IPs are the source of lots of immature vandalism and get blocked a lot, which affects innocent users at times. If you can get your schoolmates to not vandalize wikipedia it would help.. but more realistically it might be better if you had another way of accessing Wikipedia than that school IP. At least you know what to do now, if you're blocked again. :) Cheers, and welcome. Mangojuicetalk 16:50, 19 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hey
Wicked595 here, I was banned a few days ago for supposedly commiting repeated vandalism which I was contributing stuff to articles. What I do not get is I contributed and got banned for vandalism but psychoair does EXACTLY what I did and is thanked? Thats bulls**t. Oh and he is on the EXACT same IP for the school so dont say "there is no evidance that it is a shared IP" because that is a complete load of crap. --Wicked595 19:08, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
- Calm down. You were never blocked. I forgot to run a WHOIS on your IP address which would have confirmed that your address was indeed a school based one so "my bad" on that part. However, I also have to point out that my refusal to lift your Wikipedia:Autoblock early was partly your fault for not having contributing more to the encyclopedic part of Wikipedia. I review about a dozen unblock cases a day (many of them of more complex than just simple vandalism). When I see crap like "WHAT ARE YOU WEARING!!??" and "FU SHAWN YOUR A DICK" on your talk page, it's a big warning sign that you're not taking Wikipedia seriously and that I didn't have to take your unblock request seriously either. And if you had looked at Psychoair's block log, I blocked him indefinitely for a few days for vandalising your userpage before I realised I had overreacted. So tell me, why are you frustrated that I thanked him when I was really thaking him for his time reading my big warning that Wikipedia is not a social networking site -- the exact same warning you got! -- Netsnipe ► 19:27, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion pages. The notices and comments are needed to establish community consensus about the status of an article, and removing them is considered vandalism. If you oppose the deletion of an article, you may comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Wildthing61476 16:57, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Oooohh
Oh I see. I apologize for my rudeness. I enjoy this site. I go here at school to look up things and read about them since I have found it. I was also wondering how I could help out the site by finding vandals and such. One more thing.....how do you as well as other wikipedia moderators and admins find vandals so fast? Sorry for the social networking. Only way me and my friend talk sometimes since we have no classes together. We will stop that. Thank you for your time. --Wicked595 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wicked595 (talk • contribs) 15:52, September 27, 2006 (UTC).
- See Wikipedia:Cleaning up vandalism. PS: Don't sign your talk post manually. Use "~~~~" instead since it adds a link and timestamp for you. -- Netsnipe ► 04:57, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Question
Ok I have been wondering. Why is this an encyclopedia that anyone can edit? I have contributed stuff I know about articals. I was then blocked for vandalism for doing so. So why allow contributions when you or another wikipedia staff blocks for it? --Wicked595 15:37, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- You've never been blocked. Your block log is actually empty. It's more likely that you were "autoblocked" because someone else on your shared IP address or proxy server vandalised instead. Please follow the instructions on the block page to request an unblock when that happens to you next time. -- Netsnipe ► 16:54, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Unblock
<<unblock|I never vandalized Wikipedia. I may have been immature when I first got here but that was 2 months ago and got dealt with. So I would like to be unblocked please.>>
Your block log has no entries, which implies that you've been autoblocked or blocked by IP address. I can't look into this block unless you give us some more information: your IP address, the username of the blocking administrator, and the reason given for the block. Thanks. Luna Santin 18:27, 7 November 2006 (UTC)
We can't unblock you at this time, because you haven't given us the information we need to even look into your block. You yourself were not blocked; if you were prevented from editing, you must have been autoblocked or blocked because of your IP address. I'm removing your unblock request because there's nothing we can do without this information. If you are still autoblocked by the time you read this message:
If you are not blocked from editing the sandbox then the autoblock on your IP address has already expired and you do not need to do anything more. Daniel.Bryant [ T · C ] 19:51, 7 November 2006 (UTC) |
