"Why I Love You So Much" is an R&B ballad written and produced by American songwriter Darryl Simmons for Monica's debut studio album, Miss Thang (1995). It was released as the album's fourth and final single on a double A-side with "Ain't Nobody" during the second quarter of 1995 (see 1995 in music). The double-A-side single became Monica's third consecutive top ten hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 with a peak position of number 9. The music video for the song was directed by Kevin Bray.
