"Why Does It Hurt So Bad" is a song by R&B/Pop singer Whitney Houston. Released in July 1996 as the fifth (third and final from Houston) single from the soundtrack album to the motion picture Waiting to Exhale, it was written and produced by Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds and peaked at number 26 on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart.
