Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles, as you did to Richard Miniter. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is strongly discouraged. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. —slakr\ talk / 21:27, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Whoh, my bad. I honestly did look at it, but I thought you were *adding* a bunch of links, not deleting them. :P I'll go grab some caffeine and this won't happen. :P Cheers =) --slakr\ talk / 21:33, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] About your user page comment
You have my sympathies! It is outrageous. At least the humans have generally realized their errors and I hope you have reported the bot. May it console you to know that there are some of us humans out there who recognize that your edits are good. I suggest you just edit a bit more and perhaps in smaller chunks to start with. Hopefully the bots and the hawks will leave you alone then! Good luck.--Slp1 (talk) 22:49, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you. I decided to give it a second go. Whydontyoucallme dantheman (talk) 21:38, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Edit summaries please!
Hello. Please don't forget to provide an edit summary. Thank you. I notice you used to use them, but have stopped? They are very useful! MSGJ (talk) 22:02, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

I see that you had a lot of trouble against a bot. Did that get resolved? Kingturtle (talk) 22:20, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- I think so. The second person to revert me undid his work, and the article has not been mis-edited since then. I am staying away from it though. Someone else can battle the bots. I should take down the note on my user page, but I get the feeling that as soon as I do that I'll get bot-reverted again (Murphys Law). Whydontyoucallme dantheman (talk) 22:46, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
- I think that bot went after your edits because your first edit on that article removed 10,000 bytes of info, more than half the article. That is a trigger that says to that bot "It must be a vandal." Why would anyone in their right mind do that? Well, in your case, you were in your right mind.
