[edit] High schools

I think that WHS as in Woodinville High School should be added.

We don't do high schools. -- Stbalbach 13:37, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
Why don't we do high schools?!? Take a look at AHS, BHS, CHS, DHS, EHS, GHS, HHS (other uses on top), IHS, KHS, LHS, MHS, NHS, OHS, PHS, RHS, SHS, THS, UHS, VHS, and YHS. I know there's a rule about "just because there's other cr*p on Wikipedia", but I'm sure that high school are allowed. I'm adding them. Jumping cheese Cont@ct 21:55, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
To cut a long story short, I was involved with a discussion about that a year or so back. Personally, I think that the inclusion of high schools is questionable by the DAB page criteria. No-one is likely to WHS expecting "Wheretheheck High School" (or whatever)? (IMHO they're vanity entries.)
Some people said that all ?HS school entries were useful. I suggested moving them to their own page, to avoid long lists of schools bloating/crowding out the more useful meanings. Since back then there weren't too many such entries (we kept removing them), we eventually agreed that it made more sense to give them in their own section on the main page and only move them if it got very long.
Ironically, by creating "high school" sections, we probably encouraged more people to add schools. IMHO that's not a major problem, since keeping them separate stops them cluttering up the useful entries and we'll move them if (and when) they cause problems. Fourohfour 12:54, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
Sounds good to me. Keep in separate section so that people that want to find high schools can easily find them and people that don't can easily ignore them. Jumping cheese Cont@ct 22:05, 10 June 2007 (UTC)
