Whoop that Trick is a song featured in the movie Hustle & Flow and the title of an album by Al Kapone.
In the movie it is composed by Terrence Howard's character, DJay, a minor pimp & drug dealer attempting to become a rapper.
Outside of the film, it was originally composed by Al Kapone.
The film director had mistakenly phoned him, thinking he was DJ Paul of Three 6 Mafia, creators of most of the songs featured in Hustle and Flow, including the Academy Award-winning "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp", but after the director realised his mistake, asked him to write four songs for the film. [1]
The lyrics to the song are laced with references to violence, alcohol and drugs, not surprising in light of DJay's background.
The title of the song is somewhat controversial as "trick" may refer to both a pimped prostitute and her client. In the movie, previous names and verses for the song were "Beat that Bitch" and "Stomp that Ho" but the characters decided that these titles were very radio unfriendly as they referred directly to acts of violence towards women. The actual lyrics to the song are not tinged with misogyny.
