WHNR (1360 AM) is a radio station broadcasting a Regional Mexican format. Licensed to Cypress Gardens, Florida, USA, the station serves the Lakeland area. The station is currently owned by Gb Enterprises Communications Corp..[1]

The station went on the air in 1958 as WINT playing a top 40 format. In 1972 the station changed calsign to to WZNG playing an Oldies format. On 1983-11-02, the station changed callsign to WYXY playing an Adult Contemporary format. On 1990-03-16, the station changed its call sign to the current WHNR moving to an adult standards format. The station was silent for a time in 1995 before moving to an Urban contemporary format under the branding "Power 1360, the Soul of Central Florida". In 1996, the station moved to the current Regional Mexican format under the "La Ponderosa" branding. [2] [3]
