Whitley Lodge

Whitley Lodge is an area of Whitley Bay, in Tyne and Wear in North East England. It is located in the north of the town, and is a residential suburb built in the 1950s.

It consists of a housing estate, Whitley Lodge First School, and Glebe School. The school is also home to the Whitley Lodge Baptist Church.

At the centre of Whitley Lodge is its shopping centre, which includes a post office, newsagents, cafe, fitness centre, Italian restaurant, pub and formerly a mini-supermarket, which closed in July 2007. The centre is also home to various takeaway establishments, including Indian, Chinese and Greek/Italian takeaways, and a fish-and-chip shop.
