White Water Country Waterpark

White Water Country is a water park in Shakopee, Minnesota, located within Valleyfair, and owned by Cedar Fair Entertainment Co. It is a no-additional-fare attraction open to all Valleyfair visitors.

The Panic Falls slide complex, built in 1983, was the original part of the park. Originally the area of water rides was called 'Liquid Lightning', but as more were added, the name was changed to White Water Country Waterpark in 1992.

At only 3.5 acres and with only six slides and a few other attractions, White Water Country is a rather small waterpark.

Current Attractions:

  • Hurricane Falls: An 70-foot tall 4-person raft ride.
  • Panic Falls: Two 60-foot tall speed slides and three 60-foot tall body slides.
  • Raging Rapids: A single person raft ride featuring waterfalls, rapids, and sharp drops.
  • Splash Station: A children's zero-depth water playground structure.
  • Ripple Rapids: A slow moving lazy river 1/3rd of a mile in length.
  • Giggle Run: A short children's version of Ripple Rapids.

The park also has two small stores. One sells towels, swimsuits, film, souvenirs, and the like, while the other carries a limited variety of refreshments.
