The White-barred Piculet (Picumnus cirratus) is a species of bird in the Picidae family, the woodpeckers, piculets, and wrynecks. It is found in the pantanal of Paraguay, Bolivia, and Brazil; also in Argentina. In northeast South America in the Atlantic coastal regions neighboring the northeast Amazon Basin, it is found in Brazil and French Guiana; also to the west in a disjunct range in Guyana.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, and heavily degraded former forest.
