[edit] 3O Comments
My opinion: I'm not seeing any real record of the conflict here, although I do see quite a bit of discussion in your talk page archives—usually, a third opinion request that doesn't link to the actual conflict will not be answered.
As for your opinion request "Disagreement on weather or not users are allowed to alter their former sigs on pages including archives after their username change": The relevant policy seems to be WP:USERNAME#Changing your username, which says in part "If you feel strongly about your name no longer being on visible pages on the site, you can edit these pages to remove your signature." You clearly feel strongly about your name change, so I must conclude that these changes are within policy, unless there is a conflicting policy of which I am unaware. I agree that the four items cited at User talk:White Cat/Archive/2007/05#Stop do not apply.
I also see a number of statements both ways regarding unauthorized bots, edit wars, misuse of admin powers, and all sorts of stuff. I would remind everyone involved to keep cool and don't go breaking policy over such a pointless dispute, and point out that fighting over it just increases the disruption. - This is the first time I am filing a 3O, I apologize for not providing the adequate info. I'll be more careful in the future. The bot was authorized for trial but due to an error on my part I didn't exactly understand how many edits the bot was supposed to do. The bot made several thousand edits instead of the recommended 50 - 100. This bothered some RC patrollers. I shut the bot off after the complaints. The bot was later declined due to the opposition of my editing of my older sigs.
- User:Grutness had a conversation with User:Centrx. That may also provide insight on the rationale of the other party IMHO.

- No problem at all, I was just letting you know for future reference. The Grutness/Centrx discussion matches up with the other discussions I did find, and I still think all these admins should have found better things to do with their time ;)
