[edit] La-Mulana restored
This article has been restored after its deletion was contested at Wikipedia:Deletion review. As you nominated the article to be deleted via WP:PROD, you may wish to nominate the article for a full deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion.--Chaser - T 04:00, 7 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] {{Not a ballot}} on the CVU discussion
Just as a quick note, I added the template after Fluxbot sent almost 2000 message to warn the CVU members that the discussion was happening. Since in these 2000 people, there are probably some that don't know the rules (and that, as a side note, I don't think that canvassing all members was a good idea), I preferred playing it safe. -- lucasbfr talk 09:56, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Odaballoon
You left a note on my page about proposed deletion of Odaballoon - my only edit was to make it more readable. I have no knowledge of the topic and I have no feelings one way or the other for its retention/deletion. Emeraude 21:41, 22 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Proposed Delete at Pricelessware
I notice that you have prod'ed the pricelessware article. I tagged this article for lack of notability in February, and was not successful in getting any changes or valid references. Let me know if I can help out in the AfD / delete process; this article had almost six months to improve, and has so far failed to establish its merit. Nimur 16:41, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Local C compiler
I don't know why you notified me in particular of prodding Local C compiler, as my only edit to that page was extremely minor, but I changed the prod to an AfD because, though I don't want to spend effort improving the article immediately, I believe that it is indeed a notable compiler. - furrykef (Talk at me) 01:49, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Proxi deletion
I'll try not to complain, but I'm not sure why exactly Proxi is being singled out for deletion, when similar applications such Quicksilver (software), Butler (software), LaunchBar have received no such notice. In what way is Proxi different? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Somegeekintn (talk • contribs)
[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Abandonia (2nd nomination)
You Prodded this article, it was removed, so I figured I'd inform you of the AfD I started on the subject. End transmission. --UsaSatsui 02:34, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] speedy deletion of Jacqueline A. Soule
worlds expert on the genus Tagetes, sought by folks from places like india, bolivia, even kew gardens in england... (academic honors)
thought I explained that in the article should those academic articles be listed?
also author ---lay people look for her books
if i made it longer and wrote about each of the books would that help, and if so can she just do it herself? (seems a little narcissistic)
thanks for your time

[edit] The Stiff Kitten
I'm not going to contest your speedy delete tag, but I was considering tagging it myself, and there appear to be quite a few hits for it on Google. Corvus cornix 17:50, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] TheTAZZone
Hi Whispering,
Re: the deletion of TheTAZZone
Being not a very proficient writer myself I can understand why @pple deleted it...however, that being said, I do believe that it does have significance. It is different from any forum community that I have ever been to, not only in respect to member participation through Committees, but also in respect to the overall climate. Forum communities, by and large, are commonplace...but our community is anything but common. I think, being young in terms of the Internet ( the forum is just coming into it's second year ), and still being fairly unknown, in many ways hides that significance. But once the community becomes more known I honestly believe that significance will show itself...and more and more forum communities will try to adopt and imitate the standards we set.
Right now it may look like just another community trying to promote itself...but it's not the community that needs promoting as much as the idea behind it.
TheTAZZone is, although small and young, the only true ' democratic forum community ' on the Net that I am aware of...in that all members, even newbies, have an equal say.
I'm not opposing the deletion...
I'm just trying to explain my reasoning for putting it up.
Thanks,

[edit] Watsan
Nothing to do with me: I just added a note to the effect that Watsan is not a neologism - for copvio issues, contact the author. HeartofaDog (talk) 13:33, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Advertising?
Dear Whispering, I am Princess Janay, and I am the author of the FlyFusion article which you deemed as advertising. Please understand that it is not advertising, and I can prove it. My article states that there are problems with the FlyFusion. I listed that the pen's software isn't compatible with the original pen, and this pen and its software has caused the other pen and its software not to sell I(which makes me mad, because I own the original pen). I am not advertising. Why should I? I am not part of this company; in fact, I own a FlyFusionas well as the FLY 1.0, which should tell you that I am too young to be part of any company. Also, have you checked the Fly (pentop computer) article? Why have you not deemed that article as advertising, too? That article was doing the same thing that I am doing-- describing one of my favorite things. So, if you can tell me what I can do to stop this article from being advertising, please tell me. As a first, I'll remove the item's price.
Sincerely,
--Princess Janay (talk) 23:41, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
p.s. thankyou for looking at my article! i didn't think any one had read it yet!

[edit] speedy deletion
Hi,
Please pardon my intrusion on your time, but I'm taking you up on sending you a message about the speedy deletion of "Allegro Consultants".
I'm curious, even after reading the page on "notability" criteria, I'm not sure whether or not our company (Allegro Consultants) would qualify.
For secondary sources, we've been cited/referred-to/reported-on in various papers, awards, and magazines (including during the period when our two principals were being tried for hacking by HP :) (Does court reporting count as a secondary source? :)
Technical: We're the first company to create a PA-RISC compiler outside of HP (yawn for most people :), and we invented online backup of databases and incremental whole disk backup back in the 1970s ... but in a very small pond (HP 3000 computer community) (and no patents...we don't believe in software patents).
I apologize for not providing secondary sources ... and for writing the article at all (I'd overlooked the guideline that people involved in the company shouldn't do that). It was written at the request of some users who wanted to be able to point to it for their own obscure reasons :)
thanks!
