This article is a hairsbreadth from spam. It's one of a series that seems to have been created by a PR man working for Whitney, or more likely, Vincent, her affluent and influential father. Vincent has liberally promoted his business interests on WP, also. A WP search on "Whitney Wolanin" shows 20 hits. A WP search on "Vincent Wolanin" shows 12 hits. Wake 01:34, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

Re citations: I'd like to see who acclaims her besides her father and other paid performers and pr agencies. In addition, there are several Google hits for some variation of Top-Notch Records, and one WP page (TopNotch_Records). None seem related to Whitney. Wake 03:50, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

I am a radio programmer and Ms. Wolanin has charted a number of songs at our station. She was in the top 10 with songs at our station and on the national AC charts top 10 in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Not many artists so young or at any age can claim this feat and it is apprent that she has a long bright future as a singer/songwriter.

[edit] Disputed content

Ownership of TopNotch: One reference shows Vincent started TopNotch Entertainment, the other reference says "Her dad, who owns 20 companies, is now her co-producer and adviser. Her records are released on his TopNotch label." Also, on his company's website, TopNotch Entertainment Corp is listed as an "affiliate" and indicates that the name is a "wholly owned [trademark] of Wolanin Companies Ltd. or it's [sic] principals" (link).

Sales charting: The albums did not chart for sales (only for airplay) and did not win any RIAA awards. Normally that would not be of interest, but since the albums apparently received considerable airplay nationally, it's unusual that the album did not sell well, and therefore a point of interest.

If you have verifiable references from reliable sources that prove otherwise, I will allow the removal of those statements, otherwise they stay. Any removal without references to back it up will be considered vandalism. Precious Roy 10:35, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

This message is from the legal staff for TopNotch Records. The label is not owned as you have been posting and you continue to make postings that are not accurate about label ownership, despite the fact several attempts have been made to fix your errors. Magazines can make errors at times in things that are printed. The label and its distribution network around the world do not provide sales data to RIAA so in fact your pronouncements are not based on accuracy. An album for example could sell 100,000 copies and be quite successful financially and not be RIAA certified. The only ones who know that are the label, and the artist and since the label will not provide data on any of its artists to RIAA none if its artists can or will qualify for these certs. If you provide us your legal address we will be happy to write you an official legal letter informing you that what you are posting is not factual. We are hoping that by sending this message you will stop doing this voluntarily. Thanks for your cooperation. The rest of your posts are fine and hopefully we get this cleared up finally. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.40.31.38 (talkcontribs) 21:09, 10 August 2007 (UTC)
Please see your talk page for important information on legal threats (explict or implied). As I stated above, if the information in the article is incorrect, please provide verifiable references from reliable sources. Precious Roy 22:28, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Conflict of interest

Note that one of the many anonymous IPs editing this article has been blocked in the past for linkspamming for PrivateSky, another of Vincent Wolanin's companies (and most, if not all, of the rest only edit Whitney Wolanin and related articles). I put the tag on the talk page rather than in the article because I think I've managed to edit out all the exaggerations that were in place when I first read it.
