"Indian conjuror" engraving by G. Veen after a watercolor by John White. printed 1590. White and others distinguish between Native priests and conjurors. The latter seem to be more associated with trances.

This image may not be in the public domain in these countries, which moreover do not implement the rule of the shorter term.
