Permission obtained for Wikipedia use on Oct 10, 2007 by Kathleen Sullivan of World Wide Fund for Nature.

This is a copyrighted image that has been released by a company or organization to promote their work or product in the media, such as advertising material or a promotional photo in a press kit.

The copyright for it is most likely owned by the company who created the promotional item or the artist who produced the item in question; you must provide evidence of such ownership. Lack of such evidence is grounds for deletion.

where the image is unrepeatable, i.e. a free image could not be created to replace it

Other information	It does not violate the non-free content criteria for the following reasons: 1. This is a high-resolution version of the photo which is not otherwise publicly available, and few to no other photos exist of this animal. 2. This image was part of a press release. 3a. It is the only photo in this article. 3b. This high resolution version of the photo was offered directly to me by the owner for the express purpose of posting it on Wikipedia. 4. This is an image used by WWF in both their published abstract and their press release regarding the discovery of this snake. 5. It is in line with the general Wikipedia content rquirements. 6. The photo does meet the Wikipedia media-specific policy. 7. The photo does meet the one-article minimum. 8. The photo is significant as it is the only known picture of the specimen. 9. It is only used in this article. 10a. I obtained written permission by WWF to post it with the credit given to WWF and the photographer. 10b. Copyright tag is attached. 10c. The article where the photo was originally used is credited in the image summary.
