"Where Eagles Dare" is the opening track on Iron Maiden's fourth studio album, Piece of Mind. It begins with a drum introduction by Nicko McBrain and features a fast paced, driving guitar riff and bass line. Machine gun fire can be heard at the middle of the song. It is based on the 1968 film of the same name. The song was also covered on Fozzy's album, Happenstance. According to statements on Ten Wasted Years, the band's crew found Nicko's performance on the recording extremely exhausting to the eye.
