"When in Rome" is the latest single by the progressive bluegrass band Nickel Creek from their 2005 album, Why Should the Fire Die?. It is the only single Nickel Creek had with a music video from Why Should the Fire Die?.

The music video for "When in Rome" was directed by Dean Karr, and produced by Arthur Gorson. The entire video was filmed under an overpass. Sara Watkins said that Why Should the Fire Die? was "sonically darker", and her point is shown, as all of the scenes showing the band were in black and white. Chris Thile said after watching the final product, "That's awesome!".
