Wheaton High School is a ninth through twelfth grade high school located in the Wheaton/Glenmont section of Silver Spring, an unincorporated section of Montgomery County, Maryland, United States.

Wheaton is a part of the Montgomery County Public School system. The school is named for the Wheaton area, which is in turn named for Frank Wheaton (1833-1903), a career officer in the Union Army who rose to the rank of major-general while serving before, during, and after the Civil War.

Wheaton High School has three main academies of education: The Academy of Biosciences and Medicine, the Academy of Engineering, the Academy of Information Technology, and the Acadaemy of International Global and Cultural Studies.

The school is also connected physically to the Thomas Edison High School of Technology, named for the famous American inventor.

The mascot of the school is the Wheaton Knight, who represents the valor, chivalry, and bravery to which all of the students at Wheaton High School aspire.

Wheaton's athletic teams have brought home several state championships. The Football Team captured a 2A State Championship in 1996 and were state finalists in 1994. They also were state semi-finalists in 1979 and 1980. The Girls Basketball Team won State Championships in 1985, 1997 and 1998. They were also state finalists in 1976 and 1982.

One notable alumna of Wheaton High School is rock star Joan Jett who gained fame with her bands, The Runaways and The Blackhearts. Joan Jett dropped out of Wheaton and ran away to Los Angeles at the age of 15.
