What She Does Best is a studio album by legendary Country music singer, Lynn Anderson, released in 1988.
This was Lynn Anderson's first and last album with Mercury records. This would be her last album for four years, going into brief retirement, and officially retiring from releasing singles to the Country charts. Anderson's last singles came off this album. These singles were, "Under the Boardwalk" (the cover version originally by The Drifters), "What He Does Best", and "How Many Hearts". Only one of these singles charted into the Top 40, which was "Under the Boardwalk", which peaked at No. 24. This was quite surprising being most singers don't even chart inside the Top 40 when they release one of their last albums for a long time. However, Anderson's other singles didn't fair as well with Country radio, and charted far outside the Country's Top 40. "How Many Hearts" was the last single Anderson ever released, and it only peaked at No. 69 on the Country charts in 1989.
The album's cover shows Anderson leaning on a fancy sports car, wearing a classic 80s outfit. The album did not chart Country's album's list and wasn't all that successful, and it showed that her popularity was rapidly fading away. However, it is important because it features her last charted single.
