"What Kinda Gone" is a single by American country music singer Chris Cagle. It is the first single from his album My Life's Been a Country Song, which was released in early 2008. Having reached a peak position of #3 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts in April 2008, it became Cagle's first Top 5 single since 2003's "Chicks Dig It", and his eleventh chart single overall.

The song's narrator begins by stating that his wife has just left him for an unknown reason. Having been told simply that his wife is gone, he then offers possible explanations for the word "gone":

There's gone for good, and there's good and gone
And there's gone with a long before it
I wish she'd been just a little more clear
Well, there's gone for the day and gone for the night
And gone for the rest of your doggone life
Is it whiskey night or just a couple beers
I mean what kinda gone are we talkin' 'bout here?
