What Is Enlightenment? - or WIE for short - is a quarterly magazine devoted to spirituality and integral thought, published by EnlightenNext, a non-profit organisation. The magazine, the first issue appeared in 1992, was founded by and is still guided by the American guru Andrew Cohen. The current executive editor is Carter Phipps. Each issue features articles on or by, and interviews of, various New Age and Integral teachers. A regular feature is "The Guru and the Pandit", dialogues between Cohen and Ken Wilber. Most of the essays that appear in the back issues are available online, at the magazine's extensive website.
In 2006 and 2007, What Is Enlightenment? won the "Religion and Spirituality" People's Choice category of the Webby Awards.
