"What If" is a song by English alternative rock band Coldplay and is the second track on their 2005 album, X&Y. It was produced by the band and longtime producer for the band, Ken Nelson.

"What If" was released as a single in June 2006 to radio stations in France and the French speaking portions of Belgium and Switzerland. A commercial CD was also released in Belgium and features the same B-side as "The Hardest Part" ("How You See the World" recorded live at Earls Court), which was released in other European markets as well as Japan and Australia.

The commercial Belgian single was released in very limited quantities and can be considered rare. It contains a new mix of the song 'What If' by Thom Lord Alge. This mix is unavailable on other Coldplay CD-releases. It is a more polished mix compared to the album version which runs 4:57 min.

1. What If (Thom Lord Alge Mix) 5:07
2. How You See The World (Live at Earls Court, 2005) 4:14
