"What About Me Baby" is the name of a 1990 single by British pop group Five Star. It was their proposed third single for their new record label, Epic.
The single was due to be released in August 1990, but the record company shelved the release at the last moment, saying the single would not sell, as the previous two singles, "Treat Me Like A Lady" and "Hot Love", both failed to do so. It was around this time that the stories of financial difficulties were in the press, with many newspapers reporting that Five Star were bankrupt due to a lack of chart success. This was, however, proven to be untrue many years later.
The song was written by the band's lead singer, Denise, and was the proposed third single from the Five Star album.
