[edit] Units of measure

  • Thanks for the edits to the Jeep Forward Control article to spell out the units of measurement. According to the MOS:NUM guidelines: "the main units may also be abbreviated in the main text after the first occurrence". Thus, there is no need to spell out units within the conversion template in the sentence directly following the one that has the first occurrence of "inches" in the main text of the article.
  • Your addition of CID equivalency fir the engines in the Jeep Wagoneer article is a considerable effort. However, it would be simpler to use the automatic CID and L conversions formulas, as well as the other auto-specific templates that are available here Category:Automotive conversion templates. I went ahead and updated the engine information.

Inches are the only one I'm personally not comfortable with abbreviating in the text of a sentence, but I guess it's just me personally so I'll leave them alone in the future. Yes, I did find the conversion templates and they are useful. Thanks WHATaintNOcountryIeverHEARDofDOtheySPEAKenglishINwhat (talk) 17:47, 29 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] redlinks and interwiki

For the edits you made on D. B. Cooper please note:

  • WP:REDLINKS are okay; they need not be removed
  • An interwiki link is not a simple wikilink, as you noted, but a link to another language Wikipedia, or one of the sister projects such as wikibooks, wikisource, wiktionary, etc. —EncMstr (talk) 20:34, 30 May 2008 (UTC)
