[edit] Important

the Network monitoring category is important. so, in addition to adding WhatsUp Gold to the list of monitoring solutions, I also added some refernece material to the network monitoring category page.

In response to your concerns regarding notability, I deleted the press release, left the detailed product review from an independent, well-respected magazine, and added an article from oct. 2007 in the Boston Globe about the company's philanthropy.

I have no conflict of interest. I know people that work at Ipswitch, but I do not work there. I have experience in a related field of systems management and am familiar with WhatsUp Gold due to its wide deployment and popularity. I am a founding member of the Open Management Consortium, a not-for-profit organization comprised of open and closed source systems management vendors. I founded an open source systems management company, Emu Software, and run the NetDirector project. I am a former editor of LinuxWorld Magazine, and covered the systems management market extensively during that time.Gtewallace (talk) 00:12, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
