[edit] Copyright Concerns !

Far too much of this article is taken directly from here: http://www.chinaculturemall.com/crafts/article.aspx?id=3098. DOR (HK) (talk) 09:57, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

I doubt that copyright has been violated by the authors of this article. If you take a close look at the www.chinaculturemall.com, you will see that many of their articles are almost identical with Wikipedia articles. Examples: http://www.chinaculturemall.com/crafts/article.aspx?id=3975 about the Sino-Indian war or http://www.chinaculturemall.com/crafts/article.aspx?id=3901 about the Shanghai Campaign.

It appears that the shop owners of that website incorporated Wikipedia articles in their site to attract more people searching for Chinese topics.--Happy udo (talk) 20:52, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Apparently, it is now called the Chinese Military Academy 陸軍軍官學校 (CMA), see http://www.gio.gov.tw/taiwan-website/5-gp/yearbook/2001/chpt08-5.htm. Should we have separate articles? [Chinese Military Academy] currently redirects here. --Jiang 20:39, 30 Nov 2003 (UTC)

[edit] Theocide's rework

I've thoroughly reworked the article to include the huge influence the USSR had on the Whampoa Military Academy and on the Chinese Civil War during the 20's in general. I merged the organization article with education article and created a new article which deals with the influence of Whampoa Military Academy on non-Chinese affairs (Korean war for Independence and Vietnamese War for Independence).

I'll edit the last part of the chapter in the new future too to refelct these changes. Feel free to comment.

I think it might be fruitful to include the information concerning the level of military preparedness of Kuomingtan's forces before the Academy was established and after it.

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:CMA.gif

Image:CMA.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Highly POV

The article is essentially written from an enthusiastic Chinese nationalist point of view, and is filled with unsubstantiated claims.68.111.71.197 (talk) 07:55, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Please give examples of POV.--Happy udo (talk) 21:01, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

The user 68.111.71.197 (talk) has not responded to my request for more over one month. I'm going to remove the POV tag because I can't see that the article favors a nationalist point of view. In fact, the KMT (Nationalists) is mentioned many times in the article, but this appears to be correct due to the fact that the KMT has founded the academy.--Happy udo (talk) 16:08, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
