WFRB-FM is a country station that broadcasts from Finzel, Maryland. Due to the location of WFRB-FM's tower, their signal covers a great distance, as WFRB-FM is able to be heard from Fairmont, West Virginia to Frederick, Maryland east-to-west and from Altoona, Pennsylvania to Winchester, Virginia north-to-south.
Before having a strong signal, WFRB-FM needed a translator in Downtown Cumberland, which still remains. WFRB-FM is simulcast on 98.5 on station W253AB. The translator was to lose the 98.5 frequency to WKEL, but a last minute change of plans, moved WKEL from Meyersdale, Pennsylvania to Confluence, Pennsylvania. This move will allow W253AB to remain on the air on 98.5 FM and continue to serve Downtown Cumberland.
In April 2007, WFRB-FM added a webstream to their website.
