WFHB

WFHB is an community radio FM station in Bloomington, Indiana. It operates on the frequency of 91.3MHz, with a translator at 98.1MHz. Two new translators were added in September at 100.7MHz in Nashville, IN and 106.3MHz in Ellettsville, IN.

WFHB is a volunteer run station. They operate with a small paid staff and over 200 volunteers. WFHB volunteers that meet the yearly hourly requirement are also considered Participating Members of Bloomington Community Radio, Inc. Participating Members have the right to one vote at the WFHB Annual Meeting. This vote entitles the member to select from a group of candidates for the WFHB Board of Directors and vote on any business brought before the membership.

Bloomington Community Radio, Incorporated was founded in 1975 by a group of individuals who saw a need for community radio in the Bloomington area. WFHB finally made it to the airwaves in 1993.

WFHB has a constant web stream in high and low quality available at http://www.wfhb.org/streamcast.php . The public affairs and news shows are also podcasted and their archives are maintained at http://news.wfhb.org.
