Low resolution?

This is a low-resolution copy. It is somewhat unlikely that a high resolution copy, in any event, would be used to make derivative works, such as T-shirts, given the nature of the work in question

Purpose of use

The purpose of the advertisement is to illustrate a relatively rare use of the Blue Network logo; the illustration shows up at the top of the page, in the box giving basic information about the network.

Replaceable?

This is a comparatively rare illustration, since the Blue Network existed for only three years, 1942-1945, and advertisements for the network generally did not use a logo. Research has turned up only a few other examples, all in pictures not in the public domain, of the use of this logo, and this is the only advertising logo seen. As such, it is not an easily replaceable image.

Other information The item in question, a matchbook, is very clearly used for advertising and promotional purposes. It is also worth noting that this logo has not been used since the Blue Network changed its name in 1945, and references to that name generally ceased by 1949. It is also worth noting that WFCI, the radio station referred to in the advertisement, has been off the air since the mid-1950s.
