WFAX is a radio station broadcasting on 1220 kHz on AM band from Falls Church, Virginia. It covers the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area.

WFAX was founded and started by Lamar and Genevieve Newcomb. In its early days, WFAX was a Jazz/Swing station, with a bit of country and a couple of teen shows mixed in. In the 1950s, WFAX carried the minimum allowed religious programming. However, in the 1960s, the station broadcast regular Christian programming, and has done so to this day.

WFAX's transmitter is near Seven Corners in Falls Church, Virginia.
