From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Wexford railway station (O'Hanrahan Station) serves the town of Wexford in County Wexford, Republic of Ireland. The station consists of a single platform, and there is currently no passing loop, although sidings do exist, used in recent years by occasional permanent way trains.

The station opened on 17 August 1874.[1] It was given the name O'Hanrahan on 10 April 1966 in commemoration of Michael O'Hanrahan, one of the executed leaders of the Easter Rising of 1916.
