[edit] Tidy up

Spent a few minutes tidying up the page. Looks like someone just downloaded the info on www.wetherby.co.uk, without stringing the facts together to make it readable. Jfbcubed 21:37, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Map location

The location of Wetherby on the map is too far east, despite the tag having the grid reference in. I can't work out how to move it further west.

I tidied things up a bit.

[edit] Geographical Location

Should it be mentioned that Wetherby is actually nearer to Harrogate than it it Leeds?

If no-one opposes then I'll make the change.

[edit] Photography

A picture of the Town Hall and Racecourse would be preferable

I think it should be mentioned because it has a Leeds postcode, so sems rather odd. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.69.161.157 (talk) 23:42, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] News Items

I think this section should be removed. The items are no longer news (they're from 2004/5) and are not directly relevant to enhancing knowledge of the subject "Wetherby". I'll do so if no-one objects. RichardEll 14:19, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Clean up

Cleaned the article up, in line with Wikipedia guidelines, as follows:

  • vast amounts of this article had been cut and pasted from www.wetherby.co.uk. AFAIK, I have removed the cut-and-pasted text WP:COPY or referenced it appropriately WP:CITE
  • removed advertising links WP:LINKSPAM
  • removed elements that were based on opinions WP:NPOV
  • added references, where possible WP:CITE
  • removed elements that appeared more than once in the article
  • removed elements that referred obliquely to Wetherby - these are (or should be) covered in the appropriate wiki entry and do not need to be repeated (eg references to facts about Collingham, near Wetherby) WP:NOT#INFO

[edit]

Wetherby's in the countryside now! It's hardley Ambridge, sounds like a hooray henry's bin writing.
