Central High School is a public high school, founded in 1952. It is located in Paddock Lake, Wisconsin in the Town of Salem, Kenosha County, Wisconsin. The student base is composed of grades 9-12 (freshman through senior). Often, it is called "Westosha" Central High School to differentiate it from "Walter Reuther Central High School" which is located also in Kenosha County but in the City of Kenosha.
[edit] Appearance
In the May 8, 2006 issue of Newsweek, Central High School was listed at number 835 on the "Best High Schools" list. [1]
Westosha Central High School was originally Salem Central High School but after volleyball won it's first state championship in 1989 parents complained because not all the players were from Salem. After much debate the school was renamed Westosha Central High School. (Westosha is not a real place but refers to the fact that the school is west of Kenosha)
