From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Westminster Kingsway College is a general further education college in Central London. It is the result of a merger of Westminster College and Kingsway College in September 2000. The college has some 19,000 students[1], based in six different centres around London, each of which specialises in different specific areas of education[2]:

  • The Gray's Inn Centre, in King's Cross, which is the largest, and offers GCSEs and A-Levels in academic subjects such as sciences and modern foreign languages.
  • The Vincent Square Centre, in Victoria, the hospitality centre which was commended by OFSTED during their inspection of the college in 2004.
  • The Regent's Park Centre, which offers courses in Music, Media and the Performing Arts, as well as English courses for speakers of other languages.
  • The Kentish Town Centre, which offers courses in Art, Design and Multimedia
  • The Peter Street Centre, in Soho, offering English courses for speakers of other languages, and also housing a small film studio in the basement.
  • The Castle Lane Centre, in Victoria, which is the administrative centre of the college.

A temporary centre has also been recently opened in Highbury while refurbishment works are being carried out on the Gray's Inn Centre.
