Westminster-Branson

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Westminster-Branson is a neighbourhood in the city of Toronto, Ontario. This neighbourhood is one of the northernmost of the city, Steeles Ave. to the north, Bathurst St. to the east, and follows the Don River (west branch) from north-west to south-east.

This neighbourhood is overwhelmingly populated by the Russian-speaking and, to a lesser extent, Ukrainian-speaking segments of Toronto, especially immigrants from the former Soviet Union's Jewish minority, many of whom immigrated to Canada by way of Israel. The dominant ethnicities of the area are Jewish, Russian and Filipino.
