Westfield Plenty Valley is a shopping centre in the suburb of Mill Park in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The centre hosts one major store (Coles Supermarket), and approximately 22 specialty stores.
Westfield has recently commenced a redevelopment program for the centre. The centre is expected to expand to 48,9002 at a cost of approx $200 million. Once completed the new centre will contain approx 148 tenancies and be anchored by 4 major stores including Coles Supermarket, Safeway Supermarket, Target Department Store and a Kmart. The newly developed centre will also contain 2,230 car spaces and 7 mini-major stores including an Aldi and a JB Hi-fi. The opening date is scheduled to the 22nd of May 2008. Spacious flooring and nice but small food court.
stage 3 is in planning stages , but is not due for completion til 2012 . due to city of whittlesea planning constraints all future extensions are subject to planning approvals .[citation needed]
Reading Cinemas are expecting to build a Gold Class Cinema complex at the site. Contracts were signed for the new multi-million dollar complex to be completed by 2010.[citation needed]
