The Western Sahara national football team is the official football team for the Western Sahara and is controlled by Fédération Sahraoui du Footballe. They are not affiliated by FIFA or Confederation of African Football, and therefore cannot compete for the FIFA World Cup or African Cup of Nations. They are provisional members of the NF Board, an organisation set up for national football associations which are not affiliated by FIFA.
In 1988 they played against Le Mans football club in France losing 3-2. In 1984 they played some friendly matches (all against clubs) in Algeria, as in 1986 and 1994, in 1987 they played in Spain and in 1994 in Italy.
