The Western Ring Road Trail is a shared use path for cyclists and pedestrians that bridges the northern suburbs and follows the Western Ring Road. It intercepts many other paths making possible a large variety of circuits for the recreational cyclist.[1][2][3]

[edit] Following the Path

The western end of the path starts at the end of Merino St in Sunshine West, where it branches off from the Federation Trail.

Following the path is mainly straightforward, as it runs parallel to the Western Ring Road. However there are some exceptions along the way. In particular these points should be reviewed before heading out for a pedal or a jog: Keilor Park Drv, Malvern and Coventry Sts, the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail intersection, Jacana Station and the Craigieburn Bypass Trail intersection.

The eastern end of the path starts at the roundabout, at the intersection of Diamond Creek Rd, the Greensborough Bypass and Civic Drv in Greensborough, 1.2km east of the Plenty River Trail turnoff.

[edit] Connections

Going from west to east: Federation Trail, Kororoit Creek Trail, Maribyrnong River Trail, Steele Creek Trail, Moonee Ponds Creek Trail, Merri Creek Trail, Craigieburn Bypass Trail, Edgars Creek Trail, St Georges Rd Trail, Darebin Creek Trail north then Darebin Creek Trail south, and Plenty River Trail.

West end at 37.825027° S 144.809997° E. East end at 37.689338° S 145.112656° E.
