From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The schooner Western Reserve is a ghost ship that has been spotted several times off Deer Park, Michigan. The ship was owned by a financier by the name of Peter Minch, and it sank in April of 1892 with the Minch family on board. Only the wheel man survived. The apparition of the ship has been spotted on several occasions up until the present day.

There a further strange event related to the sinking. Captain Trudell, employed by the Great Lakes Life-Saving Service reportedly had a dream about the sinking before it actually happened. The dream was so detailed that Trudell recognized the body of Peter Minch when he found him washed up on shore.
