Western Reform

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Western Reform Party was a right-wing populist political party in British Columbia, Canada. It nominated one candidate, Lisa Maskell, in Prince George North riding in the 2001 provincial election.

The party was formed at the time of a split in the BC Reform Party between party members who wanted to merge the party into the Unity Party, and those who wanted to continue under the BC Reform name.

Maskell and her supporters wanted to sit the fight out, establishing the Western Reform Party as a temporary measure until the schism was healed.

Haskell won 621 votes or 4.1% of the total for the riding.
