The Western Illinois Leathernecks Basketball team is the team that represents Western Illinois University of Macomb, Illinois in NCAA Division I men's college basketball competition. The "Leathernecks" nickname is specific to men's athletes and teams at WIU; women's athletes and teams are known as Westerwinds.

The school's team currently competes in The Summit League. The team has never played in the NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Tournament. The Western Illinois Leathernecks are coached by Jim Molinari who takes over for Derek Thomas who resigned on March 11, 2008.
