[edit] The 2008 Sahara Elite League
In the first edition of the Sahara Elite League the Western Chiefs opened their campaign with an emphatic win over Southern Stars [2] but their form fell away as the competition progressed and so far they have only been able to compile two third place finishes in the Twenty20 and One Day competitions.
