The West Virginia Wonders are a women's football team of the National Women's Football Association. With it's first full season 2008, the team is based out of the state capital of Charleston and is the first women's football team in that state's history. The team struggled it's first season, remaining winless after difficulties with injuries and coaching staff. Players come from all over the state, as well as Kentucky and Ohio.
