West Virginia Northern Community College (WVNCC, or simply "Northern") is a public, multi-campus community college with the main campus located in downtown Wheeling, West Virginia. The main campus is housed in the former Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Terminal at Wheeling. Established in 1972, WVNCC delivers a comprehensive, two-year degree program for all six counties in West Virginia's Northern Panhandle. In addition to the main campus, WVNCC has branches in Weirton, WV and New Martinsville, WV. The college is known throughout the Ohio Valley to have very reasonable tuition while still maintaining a high quality of education. Due to this and other factors, WVNCC is currently undergoing a massive expansion project titled the College Square Project to facilitate its growing enrollment.
