This article deals with the language of Ouvéa, New Caledonia, "West Uvean," also known as "Fagauvea." For the similarly named language of Wallis Island (Uvea), Wallisian language (Fakauvea, East Uvean).

West Uvean (also Uvean or Faga Ouvéa; Fagauvea in the vernacular) is the Polynesian language spoken on the Polynesian outlier island of Ouvéa, near New Caledonia. It is known as West Uvean to distinguish it from the related Wallisian language, also known as East Uvean, spoken on Wallis Island (ʻUvea).
