West Springfield High School (Massachusetts)

West Springfield High School is the city of West Springfield's high school. It is located near West Springfield Middle School and John R. Fausey School, one of the city's five elementary schools. The school's mascot is a Terrier Dog. The high school houses many different sports teams, whose motto is We Bleed the Blue and White, referring to the school's colors. The school boasts roughly 2,000 students, 107 faculty members, 50 support staff, a fully-functional physical education facility (complete with olympic-sized pool), and a myriad of extracurricular, co-curricular activities, and offers many MIAA-sanctioned sports, including (but not limited to):

Rahmel Hill is a current student. He is a role player in the revitalization of the Track Team, where he has single-handedly turned away the West Springfield community from attending track and field events.Alex Temple is a cross country "star" that has single handly ruined their seasons. Patrick "Poot" O'Brien left his legacy here at wshs as one of the greatest captains of all time and is a member of the graduation class of 2008. This year the Boys outdoor track team won its first meet in six years and they are coached by Peter Gillen, Scott Dion, and Jackson Weber. Mark Gehring is an amazing swimmer, and has received scholarships from various schools including, Wheaton College.
The School's rival is Agawam High School and every year in football the West Springfield Terriers face Agawam on Thanksgiving Day.
